San Francisco, CA, Mar. 5, 2014: Street Rally to demand freedom for the Cuban Five and to honor Hugo Chávez on the 1-Year Anniversary of his death

Date: Wednesday, Mar. 5, 2014

Hugo Chávez was a big supporter of the Cuban Five. March 5 is the 1-year anniversary of his death, the 100th monthly picket action for the Five in Vancouver, BC (https://www.facebook.com/100PicketsForCuban5), and will also be just over a week after Fernando González is released from prison. To honor the heroic revolutionary leader Hugo Chávez, to honor the monumental achievement of the Free the Cuban Five Committee - Vancouver, and to celebrate Fernando's release (if the U.S. government will allow him to return to Cuba) or protest the U.S. government's action (if Fernando is required to spend a "probationary" period in the U.S. like René was), the National Committee to Free the Cuban Five will be holding an action in San Francisco (24th & Mission) at 5:00 pm on March 5.
