"On behalf of Luis Posada Carriles, I invite you to the exhibition and sale of works by the Cuban patriot and painter. The exhibition is sponsored by the U.S. CENTURY BANK, and opens Thursday April 12 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Local 3001 in Ponce de Leon, Coral Gables, FL 33134 ", the statement said, adding:" We pray that all who know him will want to buy one of Luis' paintings, I resend this invitation (sic). La exposición tiene el patrocinio del U.S. CENTURY BANK, y se inaugura el jueves día 12 de abril de 6:00 a 8:30pm. en el local del 3001 Ponce de Leon, Coral Gables, Fl. 33134″, dice el comunicado, que añade: “Te rogamos que a todos los que sepas desean adquirir una de las pinturas de Luis, les reenvíes esta invitación (sic).” La exposición del terrorista, responsable de la voladura de un avión civil que costó la vida a 73 pasajeros y que vive libre en Miami, recibe inmediata promoción en Miami, pero la causa antiterrorista tiene, como suele suceder en esta ciudad estadounidense, la peor suerte. Poco después del mediodía del miércoles la compañía propietaria del espacio publicitario -CBS Billboards- retiró la valla que Radio Miami y la Alianza Martiana habían colocado a favor de los Cinco agentes cubanos, quienes cumplen altísimas condenas en EEUU por monitorear a grupos violentos, “en medio de una ola de protestas de negociantes del vecindario y exiliados cubanos inconformes por el contenido del mensaje.”, dijo El Nuevo Herald. El anuncio había sido colocado en la esquina de la 1ra Calle y la 17 Avenida del suroeste de Miami: ”Era de esperar que con la intolerancia permanente, casi perpetua, que existe en esta comunidad, eso debía haber ocurrido… Ya lo habíamos previsto”, confirmó Max Lesnik, director de la Alianza Martiana, entrevistado por AmericaTeve-Canal 41 de Miami, según el blog CaféFuerte. Empleados del restaurante “La casa de las baleadas”, donde se colocó originalmente la valla, dijeron que habían recibido insultos y amenazas de agresión y muerte, y que habían dado parte a la policía.
