Anthony "Mighty Gabby" Carter (born March 30, 1948) is a legendary Barbadian calypsonian and a Cultural Ambassador for the island of Barbados.
To the Cuban people and the Cuban Five from Mighty Gabby (April 21st, 8:00 pm)
It is with deepest pleasure I write this short note to the heroic people of Cuba, with special love and greetings to my Cuban Five brothers who are presently incarcerated in the USA.
I have watched with a heavy heart the unfair imprisonment of my Cuban Five brothers while terrorists like Posada Carriles and Orlando Bosch are walking around free.
I want the yet humble people of Cuba to know that I fully support them in the solidarity with my Cuban Five Brothers.
I was inspired to write and record a song in support of the unconditional freedom of my Cuban Five brothers. I hope it some small way helps to gain the freedom of my Cuban Five Brothers.
The whole world knows the imprisonment of these five innocent men is an international crime and I call on the USA Government to follow the wise advise of their former President Jimmy Carter who has repeatedly call on the President of the USA Government to set the Cuban Five Free!
To my Cuban Five brothers, I want you all to know I send my love and my music to you from the bottom of my heart.
I will always support you and consider you all National Heroes.
