Madrid, Dec 4 (Prensa Latina) More than 2, 500 Spanish public officials joined up to a support net for the liberation of five Cuban antiterrorist fighters, now prisoners in United States, a promoter of the idea announced here in Madrid Thursday.

In accordance with Luis Centella, the objective of the initiative is to achieve a permanent exchange of information and common actions in institutions and civic organizations to contribute to the cause for the freedom of those five Cuban fighters, known as the Cuban Five.

The net is also linked to the groups of solidarity with Cuba in Spain and to the state committee for the liberation of Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez.

In an official statement distributed in Madrid, Centella remembered that the Cuban fighters are taking more than 10 years in prisons of the United States to face the terrorist actions of counterrevolutionary groups in Florida.

Also, he called to break the informative blockade imposed by the great international press media around the real situation on the Cuban Five and their arbitrary judicial process.

On the other hand, alternative media system Cubainformacion summoned in its Thursday edition to send electronic messages to the US president-elect, Barack Obama, in birdcall of the Cuban Five’s liberation.

Madrid, 4 dic (PL) Más de dos mil 500 funcionarios públicos españoles se sumaron hasta ahora a una red de apoyo a la liberación de cinco luchadores antiterroristas cubanos presos en Estados Unidos, anunció hoy un promotor de la idea.

De acuerdo con Luis Centella, el objetivo de la iniciativa es lograr un intercambio permanente de información y de acciones comunes en instituciones y organizaciones ciudadanas para contribuir a la causa por la libertad de esos cinco cubanos.

La red de cargos públicos y representantes ciudadanos también se vincula a los grupos de solidaridad con Cuba existentes en España y al comité estatal para la liberación de Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González y René González.

En un comunicado distribuido en Madrid, Centella recordó que los luchadores cubanos llevan más de 10 años en prisiones de Estados Unidos por enfrentar las acciones terroristas de los grupos contrarrevolucionarios de la Florida.

Asimismo, llamó a romper el bloqueo informativo impuesto por la gran prensa internacional en torno a la real situación de esos cinco cubanos y el arbitrario proceso realizado en su contra.

Por otro lado, el sistema alternativo Cubainformación convocó en su edición de este jueves a enviar mensajes electrónicos al presidente electo de Estados Unidos, Barack Obama, en reclamo de la liberación de Gerardo, Ramón, Antonio, Fernando y René.

Para eso indica la dirección http://change.gov/page/s/yourvision, en la cual aparece un formulario y la posibilidad de enviar imágenes relacionadas con la campaña a favor de los cinco cubanos.
