CARDENAS, Cuba, July 14 (acn) René González said he and his four companions unjustly incarcerated in the United States remain firm.

His wife, Olga Salanueva, told the press on Tuesday that, while participating in an activity for the release of The Five and against terrorism, on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of the founding of the Museum to The Battle of Ideas, she could speak with René, who once again thanked his people for its solidarity.

René asked her to congratulate the museum on his behalf, and reiterated the conviction of the Five to continue resisting, since sooner or later justice will be done, thanks to the actions of the Cuban people and of millions of friends from around the world.

During a meeting with students from the Latin American School of Medicine in central Matanzas province, Salanueva made a call to expand the international movements of solidarity in the case of the five anti-terrorists.

She explained that it’s necessary to multiply actions so more people join the demand of their release, since the US media outlets silence their case.

“It’s necessary to spread the message of Cubans in the struggle for truth, and, more than that, to multiply it to obtain the final victory with their return to their homeland”, Salanueva told the doctors-to-be.

On Tuesday, relatives of the Five participated, along with the people of Cárdenas, in different activities to mark the anniversary of the Museum, created by Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro on July 14, 2001.

The center’s main hall is devoted to the unjust trial carried out against Gerardo Hernández, René González, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando González, who have been confined to US jails for over a decade now.

Cárdenas, 14 jul (AIN) René González, uno de los cinco cubanos antiterroristas prisioneros injustamente en Estados Unidos, ratificó la firmeza que mantienen él y sus cuatro compañeros.

Su esposa, Olga Salanueva, comentó hoy a la prensa que mientras participaba en la jornada por la libertad de Los Cinco y contra el terrorismo, en ocasión del octavo aniversario del museo A la Batalla de Ideas, pudo hablar con René, quien agradeció una vez más la solidaridad del pueblo.

René le pidió que trasladara una felicitación al colectivo del museo por el nuevo aniversario; reiteró la convicción de que seguirán resistiendo y que tarde o temprano se hará justicia, gracias a las acciones del pueblo cubano y de millones de amigos en el mundo.

Salanueva convocó a ampliar el movimiento de solidaridad mundial en el caso de los cinco antiterroristas, durante un encuentro con alumnos de la Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina que estudian en Matanzas.

Explicó la necesidad de multiplicar acciones en aras de que cada vez se sumen más personas al reclamo de la libertad y la justicia de su esposo y sus compañeros presos, ya que los grandes medios de comunicación de Estados Unidos silencian el caso.

"El mensaje de los cubanos en la lucha por la verdad es necesario divulgarlo, y más que eso, multiplicarlo para llegar a la victoria final con el regreso de ellos a su Patria", aseveró Salanueva a los futuros médicos.

Familiares de los cinco antiterroristas participan este martes, junto al pueblo cardenense, en diversos homenajes por la efeméride vinculada al museo A la Batalla de Ideas, fundado por el líder de la Revolución Cubana, Fidel Castro, el 14 de julio de 2001.

Un amplio espacio en la sala principal de la institución ocupa el injusto proceso llevado a cabo contra Gerardo Hernández, René González, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero y Fernando González, confinados por más de una década en cárceles norteamericanas.
