San Diego, United States, Mar 18 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban baseball team taking part in the 2nd World Baseball Classic in this US city expressed admiration Wednesday for the braveness and strength of character of the five antiterrorist prisoners in the national territory of the US, to whom they dedicate the victory in the World Classic.

"Dear brothers René Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez and Ramón Labañino, we have received your message with tremendous happiness," said the letter responding those who have been condemned for fighting against terrorism.

"It constituted a very special encouragement to obtain the victory against Mexico, this victory and those we still lack to obtain to arrive at the finals, will be dedicated to you," the text added, signed by the national team of the Caribbean island.

"This Revolution has allowed us to be formed as men, as patriots and to represent Cuba in the World Classic, it has been held on this and many other values, patriotism, devotion, and an unyielding strong will, coming from people like you," said the letter.

The players asked the antiterrorist fighters to follow each match, their hits, fielding and batting plays to see their example and the affection of all the Cuban players toward those whose life and the fight against terrorism have transformed them into the beloved Cuban Five.

A big, very big hug and the commitment of giving our max in each game, concluded the message of the Cuban baseball team from this Californian city.

San Diego, Estados Unidos, 18 mar (PL) La selección cubana de béisbol expresó hoy admiración por la firmeza de los cinco antiterroristas presos en cárceles de Estados Unidos, a quienes dedican el triunfo en el II Clásico Mundial.

Queridos hermanos René González, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González, Gerardo Hernández y Ramón Labañino, hemos recibido con tremenda alegría el mensaje de ustedes, indica la misiva enviada a quienes han sido condenados por luchar contra el terrorismo.

Constituyó un aliento muy especial para obtener la victoria frente a México, este triunfo y los que aún nos falta obtener para llegar a la gran final se los dedicaremos, añade el texto firmado por el equipo nacional de la Isla.

Esta Revolución que nos ha permitido formarnos como hombres, como patriotas y representar a Cuba en el Clásico, se ha sustentando entre otros muchos valores, en el patriotismo, la entrega y voluntad inquebrantable de héroes como ustedes.

Los jugadores pidieron a los antiterroristas seguir cada partido, en nuestros batazos, atrapadas y jugadas estará su ejemplo y el cariño de todos nosotros hacia quienes la vida y el camino de la lucha contra el terrorismo han convertido en nuestros queridos Cinco Héroes y hermanos.

Un abrazo grande, bien grande y el compromiso de dar el máximo en cada juego, concluye el mensaje del equipo de béisbol cubano desde esta ciudad californiana a los luchadores en prisiones de Estados Unidos.
