BUENOS AIRES, Sept. 11 (PL).—Organizations that are part of Argentina’s Cuba Solidarity Movement (MASCUBA) in Córdoba are planning to support the international campaign for the release of the five Cubans imprisoned in the United States.

An open-mike radio show and the distribution of flyers in the centrally-located San Martín Plaza are among activities planned for 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, in parallel with a demonstration outside the U.S. embassy in Buenos Aires.

The Center for Solidarity and Friendship with the Cuban Revolution, Hoy por Cuba, Mil por Cuba and the Córdoba Anti-Imperialist Movement for World Peace Movement are organizing the event.

They stated that the objective is to inform the people of Córdoba about the case of the five anti-terrorist fighters unjustly sentenced by a Miami court and the worldwide demands for their release.

Through live radio contact in the street and flyers, they are also calling for visas for family members of the Five who have been prevented from visiting them, and demanding imprisonment and extradition to Venezuela for the notorious terrorist Luis Posada Carriles.

After detailing the prison terms handed down to Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González and René Gonález, the leaflet states that their only crime was to monitor the actions of anti-Cuban criminal gangs in Miami.

It adds that the double standards of the Bush government have been exposed with this case, given that it is upholding the sentences of the five fighters against terrorism, while at the same time it has released terrorists like Posada Carriles, a CIA agent who masterminded the sabotage of the Cuban passenger plane in 1976, provoking 73 deaths.

Buenos Aires, 11 sep (PL).— Organizaciones integrantes del Movimiento Argentino de Solidaridad con Cuba (MASCUBA) en la ciudad de Córdoba secundarán mañana la Jornada Mundial por la libertad de los cinco cubanos presos en Estados Unidos.

Una radio abierta y distribución de volantes informativos en la céntrica Plaza San Martín están entre las actividades programadas para las 17.00, hora local, al unísono con una manifestación frente a la Embajada de Estados Unidos en Buenos Aires.

El Centro de Solidaridad y Amistad con la Revolución Cubana, Hoy por Cuba, Mil por Cuba y Movimiento Antiimperialista y por la Paz mundial de Córdoba, convocaron la jornada.

Subrayan que el objetivo es informar a la población cordobesa sobre el caso de los cinco luchadores contra el terrorismo condenados injustamente por un tribunal en Miami y la demanda mundial por su puesta el libertad.

También abordarán, tanto en el contacto radial en vivo en la calle como en los volantes, la demanda de visas para sus familiares, impedidos de visitarlos, y de cárcel y extradición a Venezuela del connotado terrorista Luis Posada Carriles.

Tras detallar las penas de prisión para Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González y René González, la convocatoria recuerda que su único delito fue monitorear las acciones de los criminales anticubanos en Miami.

Añade que la doble moral del gobierno del presidente George W. Bush queda al descubierto con este caso, pues mantiene las condenas a los cinco jóvenes luchadores contra el terrorismo.

En tanto, remarca el documento, pone en libertad a terroristas como Posada Carriles, agente de la Agencia Central de Inteligencia (CIA) que hizo estallar en pleno vuelo el avión de Cubana en 1976 y provocó 73 muertes.
