Five Years Since Our Allocutions

It is five years now, and today our denunciation of injustice and the barbarity that the U.S. government commits against our people and we Five, is more relevant than ever.

During all this time, the U.S. government has continued protecting in a most shameful and infamous manner, the hemisphere's worst terrorists—Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles. It continues helping the terrorist extremist rightwing of Miami. It continues trying to force our people to its knees with the criminal economic blockade, and it continues to threaten us with military invasion and massive extermination.

All these are the reasons for which we came to the United States to defend our people and the people of the United States.

Today, as we did five years ago, we would repeat exactly our same allocutions, word for word, with much more energy, with many more arguments and with more emphasis, confronting the cowardice of the prosecution and government, in its failure to defend its own people from Cuban-American terrorism and death.

Today we are much stronger, we are more prepared, more convinced of the final victory of truth and justice.

And today, as always, we will continue to "..."wear our prison uniform with the same honor and pride with which a soldier wears his most prized insignias!"

A Cinco Años de Nuestros Alegatos

Hace cinco años y hoy es, aun más vigente, nuestra denuncia contra la injusticia y la barbarie que comete el gobierno de E.U. contra nuestro pueblo, contra nosotros cinco.

Durante todo este tiempo, el gobierno de E.U. ha continuado protegiendo, de manera infame y descarada, a los peores terroristas del hemisferio (Orlando Bosch y Luis Posada Carriles), continúa ayudando a la extrema derecha terrorista de Miami, continúa tratando de poner de rodillas a nuestro pueblo con el criminal bloqueo económico, y continúa amenazándonos con una invasión militar y un exterminio masivo.

Todas estas son las razones por las cuales vinimos a E.U. a defender a nuestro pueblo y al propio pueblo norteamericano.

Hoy, como hace cinco años, pronunciaríamos exactamente nuestros mismos alegatos, palabra por palabra, con mucha más energía, con muchos más argumentos y con mayor énfasis frente a la cobardía de la fiscalía y el gobierno por fallar en defender a su propio pueblo del terrorismo cubanoamericano y de la muerte.

Hoy somos mucho más fuertes, estamos más preparados, más convencidos de la victoria final de la verdad y la justicia.

Y hoy también continuamos y continuaremos ... "llevando nuestro uniforme de recluso con mucho más honor y orgullo que aquel con que un soldado lleva sus más preciadas insignias".
